6月12日〜14日に世界的動物行動学者、国連平和大使 ジェーン・グドール博士の来日特別イベント「Hope in Action──希望は、行動の中に。ジェーンから受け継いで」チケット発売開始！
世界的動物行動学者であり、国連平和大使でもあるジェーン・グドール博士（91）が、2025年6月に来日します。この来日に合わせて、ジェーン・グドール インスティテュート ジャパンでは、6月12日〜14日の3日間、来日特別イベント「Hope in Action──希望は、行動の中に。ジェーンから受け継いで」を開催します。
本イベントは、博士が創設したユースアクションプログラム「Roots & Shoots」の理念を広め、「希望は、行動の中にある」というメッセージを日本の若者や市民に届けることを目的としています。3日間のイベントでは、ユースを対象としたRoots & Shootsのワークショップ体験やユースによる活動の発表、教育に携わるみなさま向けのプログラム、映画上映、植林アクティビティなど、グドール博士から受け継ぐ思いを参加者の皆さんとともに感じ、育むプログラムを実施予定です。
イベントに向けて、ジェーン・グドール博士から日本のみなさんへ「I’m so happy to be visiting Japan this June. I’m really looking forward to seeing you all!（6月に日本の皆様に会えることを心から楽しみにしてます）」とコメントも。

当イベントは保護者や教育者など大人を対象としており、ジェーン博士が世界中の若者をインスパイアし、そこに大きな希望を見出してきたように、“私たちは次世代のために何ができるのか”を考えることを目的としています。
基調講演ののち、教育現場や地域などで活動する5名の登壇者をお迎えし、それぞれの実践を通して、“知ること”から“行動すること”へのプロセス、そして希望の種をどう育てるかをご一緒に考えていきます。

EFF(Educators for Future Japan)は、子どもたちや生徒たちと日々向き合う教育者が気候危機を考え、行動するためのコミュニティです。教育現場で気候変動について話したり行動したい、学び行動する仲間に出会いたい、教育者としてできることを探したい、気候変動を自分の実践に取り入れたい、と願う人々が教育者として子どもたちや生徒たちの未来に責任をもとうとしている人たちとともにこのコミュニティを一緒につくっています。「教育×気候変動」のテーマに、月１オンラインミーティングを開催し、オープンチャットでの情報共有などを行っています。

DON’T MISS IT!!! Ticket Sales Now Open for the Special Japan Visit of Dr. Jane Goodall!
Dr. Jane, the world-famous ethologist and UN Messenger of Peace, will be visiting Japan in June 2025 at the age of 91. To mark this extraordinary occasion, the Jane Goodall Institute Japan will host a three-day special event titled “Inspiring Hope through Action: A Legacy from Jane” from June 12 to 14.
This event aims to promote the core values of Roots & Shoots, the youth action program founded by Dr. Goodall, and to share the message “Hope in Action” with young people and citizens across Japan. Over three days, programs will include hands-on Roots & Shoots workshops for youth, presentations of youth-led projects, lectures for educators, film screenings, and a tree-planting activity, all designed to reflect and grow the spirit and legacy of Dr. Goodall.
