about Jane Goodall
世界的な動物行動学者であり国連平和大使のジェーン・グドール博士。
幼い頃からの夢を追って、ジェーンは26歳のときにイギリスから東アフリカのゴンベにわたり、チンパンジー研究を開始し、そこで人類に対する理解を根本から変える数々の大発見をしました。そして、大好きな動物や美しい地球を次世代へと繋いでいくべく、世界中を飛び回り講演活動等を行い、気候変動や貧困などの社会的な問題の解決に取り組んでいます。
In July 1960, at the age of 26, Jane Goodall traveled from England to what is now Tanzania and ventured into the little-known world of wild chimpanzees.

ジェーン・グドール インスティテュート（JGI）は、1977年に始まりました。
チンパンジーの調査研究を持続的に行っていくと同時に、動物保護や自然環境の保全、女性たちの健康と権利の向上や、グローバルリーダーの育成等を行っていくべく、1977年に世界的な非営利団体として創設されました。私たちが共有する地球を守っていくために、国境を超えて繋がり、知識や思いを共有するグローバルファミリーとなっています。
The Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) is a global community conservation organization founded by Dr. Jane Goodall in 1977. By inspiring action to conserve the natural world we all share.
