Roots & Shoots Youth Conference──Time Table and Collaborators
3月31日（日）にジェーン博士の90歳の誕生日を祝して、ルーツ&シューツのイベントを開催します！
4月3日に誕生日を迎えるJGIの創始者ジェーン・グドール博士🎂世界70カ国近くに広がるユース主導の環境プログラムRoot & Shootsでは、彼女の誕生日を各地でセレブレイトします🌱✨🌏
日本でも、コミュニティが集い、これまでの活動やこれから取り組んでいきたいことなどを互いに共有し、その芽生えをともに祝うイベントを3月31日（日）に開催。ユースカンファレンスのほか、チャリティ品の発売や映画の上映会、ワークショップも！

🌱Asami Yamamoto 大学時代に海洋生物学を専攻し、絶滅危惧種や環境保全活動を探求。国際環境NGOのWWFジャパンで広報などを担当し、その経験や知見を活かして現在はフリーランスに。プロボノとしてJGIの再構築に多大なる力を貸してくださっています。 @asaminmin_stagram
🌱Yu Kobayashi 小学校の英語教諭。「ゼロエミッションを実現する会・横浜」共同代表。昨年は署名活動「#暑さの原因を報道して」を立ち上げるなど自治の力を育む渦を生み出しています。教育の分野と手を組みながら、気候変動問題に取り組んでむべくボランティアとしてRoots&Shootsの普及活動をともに行なっています。 @yukobayashi222
🌱Nick Ashley 子どもから大人まで、皆が楽しみながら大切なことを学べる環境を作っていくためのアイディアが豊富。ボランティアスタッフとして当日も盛り上げてくれます！ サステナビリティに特化したコンサルティング経験があり、現在は地域コミュニティの学びの場づくりにも取り組んでいます。 @nick_ashley
🌱Reiko Suzuki ソーシャルイシューに取り組む人たちのウェルネスをよりよくしたいという願いのもと、インパクトコーチをしています。mymizuのスターティングメンバーでもあり、JGIの再構築においても初期の初期から相談に乗ってくれている頼れる存在です。当日は通訳ボランティアも！ @reizuki
🌱Megumi Sawano 「ものがたり食堂」のシェフ。「動物が大好き」という気持ちを出発点に、気候変動の問題に取り組んでいます。今回のイベントでチャリティーのヴィーガンクッキーを作ることを発案してくださり、ボランティアで作ってくれます。お楽しみに！ @megumi_sawano_
🌱Maiko Tamoki 臨床美術士で幼稚園教諭・保育士。誰もが本来持つ感性、個性を大切に、なるべく環境に優しい方法で自然物をモチーフとした季節を感じるアートWSを主催しています。イベント当日は、みんなで地球への愛を深めるアート企画を準備中です。 @mt.artws
🌱Hiroko Ida 気象予報士でクライメートエデュケーター。気象と気候変動を繋げた報道を増やすべく、さまざまな分野の方々と連携しながら活動されています。JGIのJane & Me連載にも登場し、当日司会を務めてくださります！ @hirokoida926
🌱Mona Neuhauss 「のーぷら No Plastic Japan」の代表、ゼロウェイストスーパー斗々屋の広報、J-WAVE「STEP ONE」のナビゲーターなどマルチに活躍。いつも応援して下さり、とてもインスパイアリングな存在。トリリンガルであるため当日は通訳のボランティアも✨ @mjneuh
🌱Shinobu Namae 「レフェルヴェソンス」のシェフ。美味しい物語を通して気候変動の問題に取り組み、リジェネラティブなレストランとしてインパクトレポートを発表しています。イベントでは食と地球に対する思いなどを是非直接聞いてみてください！ @namaesan
🌱Mina Oba 子どものころよりジェーンさんに憧れ、アフリカに行ったことも。2023年7月の来日時にインタビュー記事を執筆し、イベントや取材の通訳等を担当。以来JGI日本支部の再構築に心血を注いでいます。 @mina_oba
🌱Kiyoshi Koike JGI Japan代表。団体設立当初からボランティアメンバーとして関わり、2009年に代表に就任。ダイビングインストラクターであり、海辺の自然体験活動なども一年を通して開催しています。
他にも、ボランティアで手伝ってくださっているかたがたくさんいます！！ウェブサイト、フライヤーやSNSの画像を準備してくださっているデザイナーの福田さん @tokyo.dog.boy.bun やウェブサイトやニュースレターなどのテックまわり等をマルチにサポートしてくださっている高橋さん、映画を提案してくださり手配してくれているアーヤさん @ai_ayah_an 、映像やスチルを撮影してくれるクルー、自身のコミュニティを活用して情報発信してくださっている友人や知人……。人と人とがつながり、助け合い、優しい世界が広がっています。🌏♥️

Dr. Jane Goodall, founder of Jane Goodall Institute, will celebrate her 90th birthday on April 3rd🎂. The youth-led global community action program, Root & Shoots, spanning worldwide, will commemorate her birthday with celebrations around the globe. 🌏✨
In Japan, we will come together on March 31st. Let’s share your story, get inspired, and celebrate the start of initiatives. The youth conference will be held both in-person and online, featuring a hybrid format. Additionally, there are plans for charity item releases, film screenings, workshops, and more! 🎞️🍪🐵

Meet our amazing collaborators and staff too!!
🌱Asami Yamamoto Majored in marine biology at university, exploring endangered species and environmental conservation activities. She worked in public relations for WWF Japan, an international environmental NGO, and is now a freelancer using her experience and knowledge. As a pro bono worker, she has been greatly assisting in the rebuilding of JGI. @asaminmin_stagram
🌱Yu Kobayashi Elementary school English teacher. Co-chair of “Association for Zero Emission Yokohama”. Last year she launched a petition “#ReportClimateChange” to raise awareness in Japanese news medias. She is also a volunteering for Roots&Shoots to tackle climate change in cooperation with the education sector. @yukobayashi222
🌱Nick Ashley He share his creativity to create an environment where everyone, from children to adults, can learn through exciting and fun activities. He has consulting experience specializing in sustainability and is currently working on creating learning opportunities for local communities. @nick_ashley
🌱Reiko Suzuki Impact coach. She work on improving the wellness of people working on social issues. She is a starting member of mymizu, and has been an advisor of rebuilding JGI since its early days. She will also volunteers as an interpreter on the day of the event! @reizuki
🌱Megumi Sawano Chef of “Monogatari Shokudo”. Tackling the issue of climate change with her love for animals as her starting point. She has come up with the idea of making vegan cookies for charity at this event. @megumi_sawano_.
🌱Maiko Tamoki Artist, kindergarten teacher. She holds art workshops that value everyone’s natural sensitivity and individuality, and uses natural objects as motifs in an environmentally friendly way as much as possible. On the day of the event, she is preparing an art project to deepen everyone’s love for the earth. @mt.artws
🌱Hiroko Ida Meteorologist and climate educator. She is working with people in various fields to increase coverage that connects weather and climate change. She has appeared in JGI’s Jane & Me series and will be the MC of the event! @hirokoida926
🌱Mona Neuhauss She is the founder of “No Plastic Japan”, a publicist for Zero-Waste Super TOTOYA, and a navigator for J-WAVE’s “STEP ONE”. She has always been our and inspiration. As she is trilingual, she also volunteers as an interpreter on the day of the event ✨ @mjneuh
🌱Shinobu Namae Chef of “L’Effervescence”. He leads and takes a deep dive into sustainability of the food industry. The restaurant also published an impact report. Please come to the event to hear directly from him about his thoughts on planetary health diet and the love to the planet! @namaesan
🌱Mina Oba Dr. Jane is her hero and rolemodel since childhood. She wrote an interview article when she came to Japan in July 2023, and since then, she has been working hard to rebuild the JGI Japan chapter. @mina_oba
🌱Kiyoshi Koike Chairman of JGI Japan. He has been involved with the organization as a volunteer member since its inception and became the chair in 2009. He is a diving instructor and also organizes nature experience activities by the sea throughout the year.
