🌱3/1(日) Roots & Shoots ユースカンファレンス 2026!! 🌱3/1(SUN) Roots & Shoots Youth Conference 2026!!
皆さん、こんにちは！
今年も第3回目となるRoots & Shoots ユースカンファレンスを開催します。
前回のユースカンファレンスに参加してくれた皆さん、今年から新たに活動を始めた皆さん、そしてRoots & Shootsに関心のあるすべての皆さんへ。このカンファレンスは、誰もが参加できるひらかれた場です。
当日の内容はこちら。
・ユースによるストーリーテリング（10グループほど）
・土を使った型染め
・ハギレで「平和の鳩」づくり
・ジェーン博士の人生を祝福して（YISのみんながジェーンへの哀悼の意を込めて植樹した桜の木のもとでマインドフルネスセッションを行います。

ストーリーテリングは、ジェーン・グドール博士がとても大切にしてきたことのひとつです。誰かが語ってくれたストーリーを、その場に集まったみんなで受け取り、セレブレイトすること。ストーリーは、聞いた人の心に静かに届き、ときに社会を動かす力を持っています。
この時間では、ユースの皆さんがそれぞれの場所で向き合っている社会課題や、解決に向けて取り組む中で生まれた出会い、アクション、気づきをシェアします。
互いのインパクトをセレブレイトし、学び合い、つながり、友達をつくる。そして一緒に、世界をより良い方向へと導いていきましょう。
これからRoots & Shootsを始めてみたいと考えている皆さんも、大歓迎です。
きっと、新しい一歩につながるインスピレーションが見つかるはずです。

We are delighted to announce that the 3rd Roots & Shoots Youth Conference will be held again this year!
To those who joined our previous Youth Conference, those who have newly started their Roots & Shoots journey this year, and everyone who is curious about Roots & Shoots—this conference is an open and welcoming space for all.
Program highlights include:
-Youth presentation (around 10 groups)
-Earth dyeing using natural soil
-Making “Peace Doves” from fabric scraps
-Celebrating Dr. Jane Goodall’s life
A mindfulness session will be held beneath a cherry blossom tree planted by students from Yokohama International School in remembrance of Dr. Jane Goodall.

Storytelling was something Dr. Jane Goodall deeply valued. Coming together to listen to and celebrate one another’s stories is a powerful act. Stories gently reach our hearts—and sometimes, they carry the power to move society itself.
During this time, youth participants will share what they care about the community, who they met, actions they took, how they feel now, and more.
We will celebrate each other’s impact, learn together, connect, and make new friends—and together, take steps toward a better future.
If you are thinking about starting Roots & Shoots, you are more than welcome to join us. We are sure you will find inspiration for your next step.
